Biography

Brian Jerrold Koester is a Pushcart Prize nominee and a Best of the Net Anthology nominee. His latest poetry collection Why the Trumpet is Blue is forthcoming from Silver Bow Publishing. His previous collection is titled What Keeps Me Awake (Silver Bow Publishing) and his chapbook is titled Bossa Nova (River Glass Books). His work has appeared most recently in Louisiana Literature, SurVision, Versification Zine, Moonday Mag and Triggerfish Critical Review. Koester keeps little brown ditch fish that are quite rare. He is an aficionado of single malt whiskey and a proud Cub Scout dropout.
